Wine Description

Antoine Lienhardt’s Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru is grown on one of the most illustrious terroirs in Gevrey-Chambertin. Located at the foot of the hillside, this Grand Cru is distinguished by its stony, shallow soils with a high content of active limestone, which lend the wines a particularly remarkable elegance. At the estate, winemaking interventions are kept to an absolute minimum.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Antoine Lienhardt’s Charmes-Chambertin is the consummate expression of a winemaker who knows how to serve his terroir. This Grand Cru combines depth and delicacy in a rare balance, produced by an estate that cultivates its vines using organic farming methods and practices certain biodynamic principles.

The nose unfolds with aromas of wild blackberry, violet, and a hint of subtle spices, forming a bouquet of great complexity—both deep and floral—with an aromatic freshness characteristic of the Lienhardt style.

On the palate, the density melts into a chalky tension, the texture becomes silky, and the finish seems to go on forever.
