Wine Description
Nuits Saint Georges Les Damodes from the Chantal Lescure wine estate is a parcel that borders the Vosne Romanée cru. The terroir is particularly chalky, producing wines of extreme finesse and complexity. This is the most northerly Nuits Saint Georges on the Côte de Nuits, whose terroir has earned its letters of nobility since the Middle Ages!
Philippe Mischler sommelier at Mundovin : This Nuits Saint Georges is one of the jewels in the wine estate's crown. A wine that expresses its full personality thanks to the meticulous work of the wine estate. The vines were planted over 30 years ago and have been grown organically for over 20 years.
On the nose, the wine reveals itself perfectly right from the start. The aromatic palette is highly complex, ranging from floral notes and black tea to hints of tangy red fruit and sweet spices.
The palate is fleshy and silky. The tannins are extremely supple, allowing the wine to be enjoyed in its early years and to appreciate the authenticity of the Damodes terroir. A great Burgundy wine.
