Pernand Vergelesses Les Combottes du Clos du Moulin aux Moines is a white wine from the picturesque commune of Pernand-Vergelesses , 6 km north of Beaune. This terroir lies at the confluence of two combes, an ideal environment for growing vines. The forty-year-old plot is planted on a slope that extends that of Corton Charlemagne, one of the most prestigious terroirs in the Côte de Beaune.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The plot of Pernand Vergelesses Les Combottes is located in an area that shares geological characteristics with Corton Charlemagne, one of the region's most famous terroirs. The soil, mainly limestone andclay, is ideal for producing white wines that combine freshness and minerality. This terroir also benefits from asouth-easterly exposure, allowing the grapes to benefit from optimal sunshine, thus favoring perfect ripening.

The nose is delicate and expressive, combining aromas of white flowers, fresh fruit such as pear and white peach, and a beautiful minerality that bears witness to the limestone structure of the terroir. Hints of lemon enrich the bouquet, bringing freshness and vitality to the whole.

On the palate, the attack is lively, with good acidity giving the wine great freshness. The texture is both smooth and dense, with a minerality that adds depth and length. The wine evolves on a fine ripeness, while retaining remarkable freshness, giving it perfect balance. The finish is long, salivating and slightly savory, leaving an impression of purity and refinement.
