Wine Description

Domaine De Montille 's Pommard 1er cru Les Pézerolles is located in the northern part of Pommard, close to the commune of Beaune. This is the finest 1er cru in Pommard, which often produces graceful wines, paradoxically closer in profile and structure to Volnay, even though this climate is on the other side of the village. The parcel is located in the heart of the cru, on the best part of what used to be Le Clos de Pézerolles.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Pommard 1er cru Les Pézerolles is one of the finest Pommards I've tasted in recent years. Its profile is very elegant and complex. Its floral aromas and subtle blend of red and black berries give this Pommard a rather light and slender structure.

On the nose, the wine reveals a vast, enveloping palette of aromas, combining peony with red berries such as redcurrant and jammy wild strawberry.

On the palate, the wine is both ethereal and delicious, structured by an elegant grain of tannin and a tantalizing aromatic length. A wine that oscillates between the elegance of a Volnay and the breed of a Pommard. A singular , authentic interpretation of Les Pézerolles.
