Wine Description

Domaine Louis Claude Desvignes ' Beaujolais L'Aube à Javernièresis pureGamay fruit. The vines are located in the Villié Morgon commune, right next to the Javernières terroir. The terroir is predominantly clay and sand. The 30-year-old Gamay Noir vines really thrive here. The Desvignes family chose to age the wine in concrete vats for around 5 months to keep the juiciness and fruitiness intact.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This cuvée of Beaujolais L'Aube à Javernières is surprisingly explosive. It's fresh, fine and delicate all at once. Just what you'd expect from a Gamay in this range. The Desvignes know-how at the service of a fruity cuvée can only result in a lovely wine of spontaneous pleasure.

On the nose, notes of gooseberry, raspberry and cranberry reveal themselves with great intensity. There's a hint of exoticism due to the semi-carbonic maceration. It adds gourmandise and a comforting touch.

The palate is lively, taut and full-bodied. There's no lack of tannin - on the contrary, it brings great finesse and precision. The finish ends on a mineral note. A highly digestible and drinkable wine.
