Wine Description

Domaine de la Sarazinière 's Pouilly Fuissé VIIis one of the wine estate's most resplendent cuvées. This is an atypical cuvée for Burgundy, as seven small parcels of Chardonnay are blended, each bringing its own character and complexity. The vines are over 40 years old and mostly located on clay-limestone terroirs in the Pouilly Fuissé appellation .

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : When you taste Cuvée VII blind, it's just like tasting a Pouilly Fuissé premier cru. It stands out for its harmony between tonicity, juiciness and great finesse. This is one of the finest cuvées of Pouilly Fuissé at prices that are still affordable. Philippe and his son Guillaume have succeeded in bringing out all the minerality of the different terroirs thanks to remarkable work in the vines and cellar.

On the nose, the wine expresses beautiful notes of white flowers, yellow lemon, pear and a touch of white peach. After oxygenation, a touch of grapefruit zest and a hint of spice emerge.

The palate is lively and invigorating. This is a wine with great aromatic depth and flesh. The balance is just right between the finesse of the material and the freshness of the fruit. It's always a pleasure to taste the wines of Domaine de la Sarazinière.
