Wine Description

Domaine Thillardon 's Cuvée Albert is a white Beaujolais rarity. Originating from a small parcel of Chardonnay planted on the limestone soils of the Pierres Dorées in the south of the region, it draws on a typical terroir of sunshine and minerality. This cuvée is a tribute to Albert, the Thillardon siblings' grandfather, who sublimates his memory through long-term work. The grapes are biodynamically cultivated on the wine estate, vinified without the use of inputs, and aged on fine lees in barrels for 66 months! A wine for meditation, deeply rooted in the Domaine Thillardon philosophy.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Cuvée Albert is distinguished by its assertive character and demanding delicacy. It elegantly embodies the most incisive expression of white Beaujolais, rare and sophisticated. The wine's cellaring potential is already evident, and it promises to evolve over the next five to ten years.

On the nose, the wine's dense, captivating complexity reveals notes of ripe white fruit, enriched by a terpenic dimension and a touch of toasted hazelnut, creating a subtle elegance nourished by wood.

On the palate, Cuvée Albert offers an enveloping, luxurious texture, sublimated by a mineral tension that provides both depth and length. The freshness of this structure blends beautifully with notes of nutty butter, juicy white fruit and honey. The finish lingers on a sapid reminiscence that underlines the uniqueness of this great white Beaujolais.
