Wine Description

Cuvée Madelon from Domaine Anne et Jean-François Ganevat is a natural red wine made from a blend of 75% Gamay Noir, from 40-year-old vines in the Morgon region of the Beaujolais, and 25% Trousseau and Enfariné Noir, indigenous Jura grape varieties. Winemaking is carried out using natural methods: low-temperature, semi-carbonic maceration in truncated-conical vats, with no added sulfur, fining or filtration.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : It' s so good to sit down with this Madelon cuvée when the weather's warm and sunny. A genuine wine of spontaneous pleasure, it reveals bewitching aromas reminiscent of certain Beaujolais wines. I recommend drinking this wine a little cooler than the average red, around 12°C, especially if it's very hot outside. An extraordinarily delicious wine .

On the nose, notes of gooseberry, raspberry and cranberry emerge with great intensity. There's a hint of lactic acidity due to carbonic maceration. It's greedy, comforting and, above all, delicious.

The palate is lively, taut and full-bodied. There's no lack of tannin - on the contrary, it adds great finesse and precision. The finish ends on a touch of minerality. A highly digestible wine with great "picolability", as Jean François Ganevat would say...
