Wine Description

Givry 1er cru Les Bois Chevaux is one of the most delicate Givry wines produced by the Joblot wine estate. The vines face due east and benefit from good ventilation throughout the year, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly. This is one of the youngest vineyards on the wine estate, producing fresh, vibrant wines.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Les Bois Chevaux is one of the easiest Givry 1er cru cuvées to approach when young. The work carried out in the vineyard is exactly the same as for the other parcels, but the result is diametrically opposed to the Servoisine cuvée, for example. The profile of this Givry 1er cru is one of finesse and lace.

On the nose, the wine offers a beautiful aromatic intensity, with notes of gooseberry, cranberry and currant. Hints of verbena can also be detected.

The palate is very "chambollesque", with such finesse and delicacy that it reveals itself with ease and, above all, precision. A wine of a fruitiness and brilliance rarely found in this appellation. Magnificent!
