Wine Description

The white "Les Terrasses des 7 Chemins " cuvée from La Ferme des 9 Chemins is an expressive Pinot Auxerrois from old vines carefully planted on the sandy-clay slopes around Reichsfeld, Alsace. Grown using certified organic methods and guided by biodynamic principles, this wine reveals the unspoiled freshness of the grape variety and the mineral relief of its terroir. Vinified exclusively in stainless-steel vats to preserve fruit brightness and aromatic purity, its liveliness and finesse make it ideal as an aperitif or to accompany a convivial meal.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : "Les Terrasses des 7 Chemins" reveals a Pinot Auxerrois of great aromatic precision. Its ripe fruit and floral character express themselves freely, while retaining a refreshingly acidic structure. Its freshness, liveliness and intense aromatics transport us to a tantalizing basket of fresh fruit. This is certainly one of the finest examples of this grape variety in the Bas-Rhin, and a tribute to Jeanne Gaston-Breton's perseverance in revealing the soul of her terroirs.

On the nose, the wine opens with a delicate bouquet of white flowers such as acacia, hawthorn and a hint of jasmine. Hints of pear and green apple add gourmet freshness, while a hint of citrus, between lime and grapefruit, structures the whole.

On the palate, a silky texture unfolds, supported by perfectly balanced acidity. The texture is full-bodied, with an impression of measured roundness, before settling into a subtle salinity reminiscent of the terroir. Flavors of white-fleshed fruit, ripe peach and juicy pear dominate, creating a delicately sweet sensation. The slender finish extends this contrast between floral finesse and mineral energy with thirst-quenching elegance.
