Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes is a true expression of Burgundian elegance, produced on an exceptional terroir. This parcel, with a modest surface area of around 0.22 hectares, lies on a fine soil composed of clay mixed with small pebbles, on a limestone base. Its easterly exposure and gentle slope provide ideal sunshine for optimal grape ripening. Controlled yields of around 30 hl/ha guarantee a limited, concentrated and refined production.
Philippe Mischler sommelier at Mundovin : Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes combines charm and structure, a perfect balance that makes it accessible in its youth, while offering impressive ageing potential, often 10 to 15 years. Over time, it gains in complexity, developing tertiary notes of truffle and leather, further enhancing its noble, distinguished character.
On the nose, the bouquet reveals intense aromas of ripe red berries, such as cherry and raspberry, enriched by delicate floral notes and a hint of undergrowth.
On the palate, this is a wine of great precision: the attack is silky, followed by a mineral framework that brings freshness and vivacity. The tannins are refined and elegant, perfectly integrated into a generous body. The long, persistent finish reveals spicy, slightly woody nuances, reminiscent of its careful ageing in oak barrels, with a proportion of 30% new wood.
