Wine Description

Champagne Rosé de Meunier from the Laherte Frères wine estate is a rosé made from a blend of old Pinot Meunier vines only. This blend is highly unusual in that it is made up of several different wine types and winemaking processes, 30% of which are maceration wines, 10% of which are red wines and 60% of which are white wines, most of which are vinified in barrels. A highly interesting and innovative profile.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Aurélien Laherte 's Rosé de Meunier is a real surprise on every level. It stands out for its gourmand, charming and aromatic style, and for its minerality, which is rarely found in rosé champagnes.

On the nose, this rosé champagne reveals notes of orange zest, cranberry, menthol and chalk, giving a real breath of freshness to the whole. A first impression that sets an elegant tone.

The palate is very expressive, with the precision of a goldsmith. The aromatic palette is vast. It gradually unfolds, revealing notes of rose petal, blood orange and raspberry. The finish is saline with superb minerality.
