Wine Description

Domaine Jacqueson 's Bouzeron Les Cordères comes from vines that flourish in the far north of the Côte Chalonnaise, in the heart of the Bouzeron appellation. Here, Paul and Marie Jacqueson cultivate Aligoté vines rooted in clay-limestone soil since the 1950s. This cuvée reveals superb concentration, enhanced by 10 months ageing in 5-8 year-old oak barrels.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Bouzeron Les Cordères is a fantastic Aligotéthat combines the purity and minerality of the Côte Chalonnaise terroir with the delicacy and finesse of the Aligoté grape. A wine that shows that this grape variety deserves a much higher place in tasters' esteem.

On the nose, the wine opens with subtle notes of white flowers, honeysuckle and lilac. It doesn't take long for the exotic notes to appear, transporting me to the tropics.

The palate is beyond my expectations, with a remarkably precise acidic structure. There's a lovely touch of exoticism, with a very slight woody note that will mellow over time.
