Wine Description

The Bonnes Mares Grand Cru georges Roumier comes from an assembly of two exceptional terroirs, "Les Terres Rouges" and "Les Terres Blanches". An assembly that allows to obtain a wine more complex by their complementarity. "The Red Earths give it richness, creaminess and aromas of red fruits. White Earths express themselves through spices, white flowers and even red peony with peppery notes.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Since the acquisition of an additional plot of vines rented (in shareholding) since 2016, the Bonnes Mares de Christophe Roumier have come from an assembly of 60% in white soil and 40% in red soil. The fusion of the two terroirs gives rise to a wine combining unctuosity, fruity and minerality, combining the strength of a Morey Saint Denis to the complexity of a Chambolle Musigny.

On the nose, the wine opens with aromas of ripe red fruits, rose petals, peony, orange zest and exotic spices.

In the mouth, this Bonnes-Mares is full-bodied, multidimensional and concentrated with a medium of mouth with muscular frame and powdered tannins. The finish is extremely fine and mineral.
