Wine Description

Domaine Weinbach's Pinot Blanc is a blend of 70% Pinot Auxerrois and 30% Pinot Blanc. The vines come from the Clos des Capucins, a gravelly, sandy-silty terroir on a bed of pebbles. The vines are on average over 35 years old, and the grapes are vinified in old oak casks. Yields are reduced as much as possible to preserve quality.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Pinot Blanc produced by the Faller family stands out from other Pinot Blancs because it is made with the same care and attention to quality as all the wines from the wine estate. It's an ideal wine for convivial meals based on fish or fresh salads.

On the nose, the wine is delicate, developing pretty notes of orchard fruit, white flowers, touches of sweet spices and honeysuckle.

On the palate, the wine displays great aromatic purity and a fine contrast between freshness and ripeness of fruit. This is a wine of great delicacy, complexity and, above all, depth.
