This Mercurey red cuvée is a blend of old vines from the Grillots climat (0.55 ha) and young vines from the Vaux climat (0.56 ha). The average age of the vines is 35 years, offering a fine balance between depth and aromatic freshness. These parcels benefit from a privileged location, sheltered between the houses of the hamlet of Chamirey, which protects the vines from climatic excesses and favors even ripening of the grapes.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Mercurey's clay-limestone soils give the wine structure and finesse, while preserving the freshness characteristic of Burgundy's great Pinot Noirs. The Jacqueson wine estate applies integrated viticulture, with meticulous work in the vineyard to ensure optimum ripeness. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted to retain only the highest-quality berries. After gentle maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine is aged in oak barrels for around 12 months, with a controlled proportion of new wood. This ageing brings complexity and structure without masking the identity of the fruit.

The nose is expressive and refined, revealing crisp red fruit aromas (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant) complemented by spicy notes and a subtle woody touch.

On the palate, the attack is supple and elegant, marked by a lovely freshness. The wine then gains in fullness, revealing a silky body and fine tannins. The structure is well balanced between juicy fruit and a touch of minerality. The long, persistent finish leaves a pleasant sensation of freshness and sweet spices.
