Mathilde and Yves Gangloff

Yves Gangloff is unquestionably one of the finest artisan winemakers in the northern Rhône Valley. He is often described as an artist. His sensibility and inspiration are unique in the world of winemakers, and rightly so. The beauty of Yves Gangloff's story is that it's emotionally charged. Indeed, he started out playing rock and guitar in the village of Condrieu, where he settled in the 1970s. Around this time, the Alsatian decided to take an interest in wine and met Mathilde at Château D'Ampuis. She became his wife and radically changed his life. He became a farmhand at Delas, and at the same time took over a few vineyards in the area to make wine according to his own vision.

The adventure began in the late 80s for Yves and Mathilde Gangloff. They finally decided to bottle their own cuvées, which quickly became benchmarks in the area. They produce powerful yet elegant Condrieu and Côte Rôties .

In 2011, sad and moving news arrived. Mathilde passed away prematurely. Yves Gangloff courageously decided to continue their life's work, with the help of his children Loup and Elsa.

The wine estate now boasts 9 hectares of vines in the finest appellations of the northern Rhône Valley. Its cuvées of Condrieu, Côte Rôtie La Barbarine, Côte Rôtie La Sereine and Saint Joseph are simply extraordinary.
