Long description

Domaine Nicole Lamarche is located in the heart of the Côte de Nuits , in the prestigious Vosne Romanée appellation. It extends over some 11 hectares and includes ten different appellations. The Domaine Nicole Lamarche is one of Burgundy's most exclusive and, above all, most renowned appellations. In particular, it owns the La Grande Rue parcel, nestled right in the middle of the Domaine de la Romanée Conti parcels.

A family history

This family-run wine estate is relatively young, dating back to the early 20th century. François Lamarche took over the running of the wine estate when his father died in 1985, and he in turn died suddenly in 2013. Today, Nicole Lamarche manages the wine estate with the help of her cousin Nathalie. The transition has been a seamless one, as Nicole Lamarche has been vinifying the estate's wines on her own since 2007.

The reputation of the wine estate has grown thanks to the work of Nicole and Nathalie, who have taken winemaking and vineyard work to a new level. In 2010, the wine estate switched to organic farming, with the aim of preserving the flora and fauna of their exceptional terroirs.

In search of perfection

Nicole Lamarche is a true perfectionist who does her utmost to ensure that the very best of the vines finds its way into the wine. Several successive sortings are carried out in the vineyard and cellar to ensure that only the finest grapes are kept. Pressing is gentle, and ageing is meticulous to bring out the quintessence of the finest terroirs, such as Clos de Vougeot or Grands Echezeaux.
