Long description

This vast vineyard stretches along the Mediterranean coast. It offers a diversity of terroirs between sea and mountain, making it the largest vineyard in France today. Winters are mild, summers dry and with little rainfall, which means that the vines have to adapt to this particular climate. No Pinot Noir or Melon de Bourgogne here, which are far too dependent on humidity. In Languedoc Roussillon, we mainly grow Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsault and Grenache noir for the reds, but also a little white with Grenache blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Mauzac. The great strength of the Languedoc Roussillon vineyards lies in their sheer number of appellations, and consequent diversity. There are no fewer than 36 appellations, each producing virtually all 3 wine colors (red, white and rosé), as well as a number of sweet and sparkling wines. The vineyards are home to some very talented winemakers, whose work and know-how have made the terroir speak for itself. One of the most emblematic is the Gauby wine estate in Calce , Roussillon. Another is the Grange des Pères wine estate, considered by wine lovers to be the greatest wine of the Languedoc. The talented Olivier Jullien of domaine Mas Jullien and Rémy Pedreno of domaine Roc d'Anglade have a unique know-how that inspires young winemakers. They are role models. A striking example is the Les Vignes Oubliées wine estate , which has emerged thanks to winemaker Jean-Baptiste Granier and Olivier Jullien. It's one of the wine estates that's currently on a roll. Languedoc Roussillon is a region with an unrivalled wine heritage. The spearheads have been the most respectful winemakers, and certain appellations have also played an essential role. Saint Chinian, Fitou, Corbières, Faugères, Minervois, Pic Saint Loup, Terrasses du Larzac wines and many others are at the heart of the renewal of this region, which since the 1980s has given itself the means to create great gourmet wines. Mundovin has chosen to establish a very singular selection of the most talented winemakers of their generation. Our sole aim is to provide you with an emotional tasting experience. Some of our winemakers have been in the business for a long time, while others, like the Inebriati wine estate or the Mas Cal Demoura wine estate, are just starting out . This is a region that reveals talented winemakers with a real project, a real vision of the vine and of what a wine should be. Quality, authenticity, hard work, all at the service of the finest discoveries and emotions. Like Clos Marie, for example, which makes great Pic Saint Loup vins de garde with the purest respect for authenticity.
