Les Terrasses du Larzac from the Les Vignes Oubliées wine estate is the estate’s flagship cuvée—the one that started it all back in 2007. Olivier Jullien, a passionate winemaker, taught Jean-Baptiste Granier how to seek out and discover great terroirs. In Saint-Privat, on soils of schist, sandstone, and calcareous clay at an elevation of 400 meters, they revived vineyards threatened with extinction—nestled in clearings amid the woods—that the cooperative no longer wanted. Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan come to life in this cuvée, revealing the terroir of the Larzac foothills.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: “Les Terrasses du Larzac” from the Les Vignes Oubliées wine estate is the most authentic expression of Jean-Baptiste Granier’s philosophy: to respect the fruit and the freshness offered by the terroir, without adding anything to it. Les Vignes Oubliées offers beautiful fluidity, a silky texture, and refined tannins that are both deep and delicate.

On the nose, notes of garrigue, red fruits, and a hint of licorice gradually unfold, with remarkable aromatic subtlety.

On the palate, the precision remains and the aromatic profile lingers. Flavors of red and black fruits—such as morello cherry, jammy strawberry, and raspberry—are discernible, followed by refined and elegant tannins.
