Long description
For 3 generations, the Jacqueson family has contributed to the renown of the Rully appellation. Marie and Pierre Jacqueson arrived at the estate in 2015 under the watchful eye of their father Paul Jacqueson, who ran the 15-hectare wine estate all his life. From the outset, he focused on quality, investing in several parcels of Rully and Rully1er cru. For him, the Côte Chalonnaise abounds in great terroirs that are little exploited. He also replanted Chardonnay, which had been virtually absent from the appellation in his day, and now accounts for 50% of the Jacqueson's wine production. Over the years, the Jacqueson wine estate has built up a superb winegrowing heritage in the finest climats such as Grésigny, La Pucelle and Margotés. Today, the family has joined forces with Domaine De Villaine to purchase two hectares of Premier Cru pinot noir, a cuvée that is still exclusive.
What makes the wines from Domaine Jacqueson in Rully stand out is their purity. Quality of fruit, freshness and balance are extremely important. The right interpretation of each terroir makes this one of the highest-quality wine estates in the Côte Chalonnaise, and certainly the best value for money in Rully.
