Sylvain Pataille 's Marsannay blanc is one of the most precise and luminous expressions of northern Burgundy. The Sylvain Pataille wine estate is a master in the art of cultivating and vinifying equal parts Chardonnay blanc and Chardonnay rose, two complementary versions of the same grape variety. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, the wine then spends 18 months ageing on fine lees in barrels, of which around 15% are new. With the wine estate's signature balance of purity, texture and mineral brilliance, this careful attention to detail produces a subtle equilibrium.

We discover notes of flower honey, resinous and chalky touches. The charm continues with hints of sugar pear and vineyard peach.

The nose is highly complex, with fine notes of nectarine and ripe apple, enhanced by tertiary accents of floral honey, fresh butter and frangipane. A chalky, mineral edge lends the wine an airy, refined allure.
