Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair 's Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes is a blend of five old parcels located at the foot of the Chambolle-Musigny hillside. Planted between 1952 and 1963, these old Pinot Noir vines plunge deep into a clay-limestone soil rich in stones, giving the wine a natural concentration and a texture of rare finesse. This terroir, typical of the Côte de Nuits, gives birth to one of the most delicate faces of Pinot Noir in Burgundy. Thibault Liger-Belair works this cuvée with the same precision as his Grands Crus, favoring slow maceration and subtle ageing to respect the identity of the old vines. In this vintage, marked by freshness and aromatic brilliance, the winemaker has created a Chambolle-Musigny of pure elegance, taut and vibrant, true to the spirit of the village.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Domaine Thibault Liger-Belair's Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes has that silky grain, that quiet depth that only the finest Burgundy Pinots Noirs can achieve. It has that caressing quality typical of Chambolle, carried by a mineral backbone that gives it momentum. A wine to be discovered with patience and care, ideally after several years in the cellar.

The bouquet seduces with delicate aromas of crisp red cherry, dried rose and wild raspberry. Fine notes of violet, graphite and white pepper add a discreet tension to the whole. A lingering floral sensation floats in the glass, elegant and airy.

On the palate, the attack is supple, the body unfurls with captivating silkiness. The red fruit bursts forth, carried by a chiselled acidity that gives the wine a fine rhythm. The mature tannins slowly fade into a long, lingering finish. The purity of Pinot Noir, without artifice, in a limpid, nuanced expression of Burgundy.
