Antoine Lienhardt’s Côte-de-Nuits Villages Les Plantes aux Bois cuvée comes from a specific vineyard parcel located on the outskirts of the village of Comblanchien, in the very southern part of the Côte-de-Nuits. The soils there are predominantly clay, interspersed with hard limestone, giving the wine a mineral character of great precision. Antoine Lienhardt took over this 6-hectare family estate in 2011, convinced that the terroirs of Comblanchien are undervalued. He asserts that, if the Burgundian hierarchy were to be reclassified, several sectors of this village would undoubtedly deserve Premier Cru status.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Antoine Lienhardt’s Côte-de-Nuits Villages Les Plantes aux Bois is an exceptional cuvée within the appellation. These nearly century-old vines offer a Pinot Noir that is both very refined and very rich .

The nose is distinguished by red fruits and floral notes. Blackcurrant and rich blueberry emerge in an appetizing bouquet. Notes of spice and cocoa round out the palette with very well-integrated oak.

On the palate, the wine is characterized by an upfront richness from the very first sip, intensely velvety, with firm yet silky tannins. The finish captivates with its length, featuring warm, savory spices. Throughout the tasting, beautiful, tangy red fruits shine through with brilliance.
