The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru du domaine de la Pouss d'Or is from a very specific terroir located on the appellation Morey Saint Denis. It is a climate that gives powerful, masculine and concentrated wines that will require patience to flourish. The terroir is composed of shallow limestone and large stone blocks that gave it its name.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is a small big cru by size but great by quality. Patrick Landanger also has a great sensitivity to this terroir that for him is at the highest level of the Bourgogne if you know how to be patient. The farm is traditionally made of oak barrels of which 30% are new. Consistency and rigour in the work of the vine and wine make it one of the greatest of the appellation.

On the nose, the wine bears a fine precision and oscillates between the kirsched notes, blood orange, sweet spices and cranberry. It gradually delivers its more carnal and seductive appearance.

The mouth is enveloping, the tannins are well present and bring vigor to the wine. The fine tension combines perfectly with the aromas of wine. It's a Grand Cru of course masculine but elegant and graceful which impresses with its aromatic persistence.

Bright and intense , the nose opens with compote notes of redcurrant, blueberry and black olive. Ageing adds hints of cedar wood. Full-bodied and intense on the palate, this is a fine, racy wine.
