Domaine de la Pousse d'Or's Clos de la Roche Grand Cru comes from a very specific terroir in the Morey Saint Denis appellation. It's a climate that produces powerful, masculine, concentrated wines that require patience to blossom. The terroir is composed of shallow limestone and large boulders, giving it its name.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Clos de la Roche Grand Cru is a petit grand cru in terms of size, but great in terms of quality. Patrick Landanger has a great sensitivity for this terroir, which for him is at the highest level of Burgundy if you know how to be patient. The wine is aged traditionally in oak barrels, 30% of which are new. Consistency and rigor in the work of the vine and the wine make this one of the greatest of the appellation.

On the nose, the wine shows great precision, oscillating between notes of kirsch, blood orange, sweet spices and cranberry. It gradually reveals its more carnal, seductive side.

The palate is enveloping, the tannins are well present and bring vigor to the wine. The fine tension blends perfectly with the wine's aromas. This is a masculine yet elegant and graceful Grand Cru that impresses with its aromatic persistence.
