Best known for his Isole e Olena wine estate in Tuscany, Paolo de Marchi revived his family’s ancestral estate, located in Upper Piedmont, in 1999.

His son Luca, supported by his wife Francesca, now runs Proprietà Sperino with energy and strong convictions. The microclimate of this region of Upper Piedmont, with its particularly pronounced temperature range, combined with a terroir composed of marine sands, produces very elegant wines that will delight Burgundy enthusiasts.

Uvaggio and Lessona are the two flagship cuvées with distinctly Piedmontese origins. ‘L Franc Bandit’ is a truly exceptional Cabernet Franc that is reminiscent of the greatest terroirs of Saumur-Champigny.
