Wine Description

The Chablis Grand Cru Valmur du domaine Jean Collet et fils is located on a central position on the Great Crus Hill. Its shape evokes that of a valley, hence its name "Valmur". The whole plot is run in organic farming and benefits from a North-West exposure. With extreme mesoclimate, Valmur is very cold in winter and warmer than the regional average in summer.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin Valmur is a very powerful, massive climate with a lot of minerality. This gives the wine austerity and restraint that sign the great wines of Chablis. It's a great watch wine. It usually takes more than 10 years for wine to express the full potential of its terroir. It will be perfect on white meat in sauce, lobster or refined cheese.

In the nose, the wine offers us beautiful notes of jasmine. There are also white fruits such as the clam queen, the williams pear and the queen apple. We also discover a nice spicy register on notes of white tea and cardamom.

The mouth is endowed with a beautiful and ample material whose acidity is gradually revealed during the tasting and in a very elegant way. We find the complexity of the nose in the mouth with a mineral and saline touch at the end of the mouth that prolongs the pleasure of tasting.
