Pierre Gerbais

Champagne Pierre Gerbais has been produced for 4 generations in Aube on the Côte des Bars. Pascal and Aurélien Gerbais present themselves as the finest creators of affordable winemaker's champagne. They cultivate no less than 18 hectares of estate land, recently converted to organic farming.

The cuvées that have put this wine estate on the map are the Grains de Celles, a cuvée made from 25% Pinot Blanc that offers a delicate minerality and gourmandise. L'Osmose is the wine estate's Blanc de Blancs cuvée, 100% Chardonnay. A crystal-clear cuvée bursting with freshness. L'Audace, a cuvée in a class of its own that's much windier than the estate's other champagnes, is made from 100% Pinot Noir. It's a superb Coteaux Champenois, both intense and gourmand, on a par with the finest Burgundies.

This family-run wine estate, located in Celles sur Ource on terroirs composed mainly of Kimmeridgian limestone, very similar to the soils of Chablis and Sancerre, offers us a fine expression of their terroir. The champagnes are lively, fresh and full of energy.
