Initially founded by Jean-Philippe's parents, the wine estate was created in the 1980s, when the family moved to Calce to cultivate vines with passion. Jean-Philippe Padié took over the reins of the wine estate in the early 2000s, bringing a new lease of life and a contemporary vision that led to conversion to organic farming and a refocusing on more expressive, authentic and natural cuvées. The estate's plots, home to the region's emblematic grape varieties - Syrah, Carignan and Grenache Noir for the reds, and Macabeu, Grenache Blanc and Grenache Gris for the whites - cling to the steep slopes of the Roussillon, where altitude and pebble-rich clay-limestone soils play a major role in the concentration and freshness of the grapes. In contrast, Gibraltar, made from 100% Grenache Noir and aged in old barrels, captivates with its intense aromas of red fruits and spices, offering an elegant, well-structured palate. On the white side, freshness and purity are the hallmarks of Fleur de Cailloux, a white wine blending Grenache Blanc, Grenache Gris and Macabeu, vinified in stainless steel, concrete and old barrels.
