Lune à Boire Blanc from the Marc Kreydenweiss wine estate is an Alsace blend of six grape varieties: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois, Sylvaner, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewurztraminer. This wine expresses the richness and diversity of Alsace's terroirs, combining soils of granite, Vosges pink sandstone and limestone to offer a balanced profile of warmth and freshness. The grapes are slowly pressed in whole bunches, extracting the aromatic purity and freshness of the varietals. Fermentation, using indigenous yeasts , and malolactic fermentation take place naturally, preserving the wine's authenticity.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The grapes for this cuvée come from different Alsatian terroirs, carefully selected by partner winemakers who share the Kreydenweiss wine estate's values of organic and biodynamic viticulture. These terroirs, oscillating between warm and cool zones, contribute to the wine's complexity and liveliness, while respecting natural viticultural practices.
Lune à Boire Blanc reveals an expressive, fresh nose with aromas of white flowers, white-fleshed fruit and a touch of spice and minerality typical of sandstone and granite terroirs.
On the palate, the wine's roundness and vibrant acidity give it a thirst-quenching character. The balance between grape varieties gives it a broad aromatic palette, with fruity nuances of apple and pear and a fine touch of minerality.
