Wine Description

Domaine Agapé 's Gewurztraminer Hélios is the quintessence of a legendaryAlsace grape variety. On the slopes of the Jungholtz vineyard in Ribeauvillé, the south-facing vines, over 50 years old, are planted on a deep clay-limestone terroir. The hygrometric capacity of this terroir is ideal for concentrating aromas in the berries while retaining a fresh acidity. Since 2007, Vincent Sipp has been working to magnify this terroir vintage after vintage through respectful organic viticulture , where each bunch is hand-selected.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Gewurztraminer Hélios is dazzling in the clarity and complexity of its aromatic profile. It's an ode to authentic, gourmet Alsace, built around an elegant structure and a complex aromatic palette, where the minerality of the clay-limestone soil is in constant dialogue with the generosity of the fruit.

The nose exudes bewitching, ripe aromas: the suave note of lychee, the greediness of mango, the vivacity of passion fruit, the refinement of rose petals, a light perfume of white pepper... Layers follow one another and blend with impressive precision.

On the palate, the attack is seductive in its balance. The silky texture coats the palate with perfectly adjusted sweetness. The intoxicating bouquet of the nose is matched by a structure balanced by well-preserved acidity. The long finish blossoms with powerful aromas of rose and sweet spices, inviting you to prolong the experience.
