Wine Description

Champagne Brut Nature from the Benoit Lahaye wine estate comes from the Grand Cru terroirs of Bouzy, composed of clay-limestone soils resting on a damp chalk subsoil. This gives the champagne a dense, rich character. The quality of biodynamic viticulture takes on its full meaning, producing grapes that combine complexity and finesse to perfection.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Benoît Lahaye's Brut Nature is a perfectly balanced champagne with an intense mineral and saline dimension. For an unaged Brut Nature, the result is quite simply exceptional, and will seduce the palates of amateurs and seasoned connoisseurs alike.

On the nose, the champagne is seductive in its brilliance, revealing notes of applesauce, hints of tart red fruit, citrus fruit and hints of green tea and fresh coriander.

The palate is full-bodied, with splendid intensity and balance. The greediness of the nose is rediscovered in the mouth. Subtle apricot and yellow fruit flavors are enhanced by notes of undergrowth and a touch of chalk. The finish is slightly spicy, with superb salinity.
