The Chablis from the Jean Paul and Benoit Droin wine estate is one of the wine estate’s flagship cuvées and certainly one of the best-known wines in the Chablis region. It is a blend from plots located on both the left and right banks, with north- and south-facing exposures. The balance of this Chablis is simply remarkable and ranks among the very best of the Village appellation.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The Chablis from the Jean Paul and Benoit Droin wine estate sets the standard in this regard. It is the driving force behind Chablis Village wines thanks to its consistent quality, even in challenging vintages. The vines are 35 years old on average and are maintained through regular but shallow plowing.

On the nose, the wine opens with citrus notes, hints of white flowers, and notes of dried fruit and sweet spices. A wine that expresses itself fully from its earliest years and requires no special aging.

On the palate, it balances richness with minerality. A dry wine with incredible tension and remarkable precision. Its long-lasting aromas and salinity give it an extraordinarily long finish.
