Wine Description

The Meursault Le Pré de Manche from the Clos du Moulin aux Moines wine estate is an exceptional white Burgundy, produced on a unique terroir using environmentally-friendly winemaking methods. Situated at the top of a hillside above Les Santenots, this climat enjoys optimum exposure and a particularly mineral soil, giving this wine a rare typicity. Le Pré de Manche is one of Meursault' s most prized crus, and this wine perfectly showcases the beauty of this exceptional terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The climate of Le Pré de Manche lies in the immediate vicinity of the famous Santenots and Caillerets parcels, two terroirs renowned for their ability to produce wines of great finesse and complexity. The soils of Pré de Manche are very mineral, with bands of exposed rock testifying to the unique geological nature of this parcel. These particularly well-draining soils enable slow ripening and great expression of aromas, while offering exceptional structure and finesse to the resulting wines.

The first certified organic and biodynamic vintage will be in 2025, further proof of the wine estate's commitment to producing wines that respect the environment and their terroir.

The nose is highly complex, offering elegant aromas of white flowers such as lilac andacacia, combined with subtle notes of citrus and white peach that intertwine harmoniously with mineral touches typical of the terroir. These fresh, delicate aromas give the wine great intensity and freshness.

On the palate, the wine is refined, with a silky texture and lively acidity. The attack is clean, followed by a mineral framework marked by saline notes that linger on the finish. The balance between richness and freshness makes this Meursault a particularly elegant wine, with a long, precise finish. Aromas of white fruit and mineral notes linger, offering a beautiful persistence that invites tasting.
