Wine Description

Domaine André et Mireille Tissot 'sArbois Savagnin Ouillé comes from biodynamically farmed vines rooted in the clay-limestone soils typical of the Jura region. On theseArbois slopes, Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot seek to express Savagnin in its purest, unclouded form - and with good reason: the wine is aged under rigorous topping, without oxidation, to preserve the fruit's brilliance, the grape variety's natural tension, and the terroir's mineral imprint. This wine reveals a straightforward, uncluttered structure, almost austere in its early years, but shot through with an energy that is the hallmark of great dry mountain whites.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot's Savagnin ouillé is the opposite of folklore. There's no mask here: this wine is strikingly straightforward. It's a wine of verticality, rock and light, conceived as a mirror of the soil rather than a stylistic interpretation.

From the very first whiff, we perceive a beautiful aromatic intensity carried by subtle notes of acacia flower, bergamot and hazelnut. A discreet touch of fresh pear adds juiciness.

The palate opens with liveliness and a supple, full body. The wine unfolds delicious aromas of white fruit and lemon peel, with a clear minerality. On the midpalate, a hint of sweet almond and sea salt adds fluidity and depth. The finish is long, straight and fresh, with a tension that gives the wine real energy.
