Wine Description

Domaine Jean-Michel Stéphan 's Grand Blanc is a blend of 50% roussanne, 30% marsanne and 20% viognier, planted in 2018 on soils composed of ancient Rhône alluvium, biotite granite and glacial moraine. These geological features give the wine a distinctive minerality and remarkable aromatic complexity. The grapes are hand-harvested when fully ripe, and rigorously sorted to ensure optimum quality. Winemaking is natural, with no addition of sulfites. Grand Blanc is aged for 8 months in stainless steel tanks, to preserve the wine's freshness and aromatic purity.

The nose is expressive, revealing aromas of white flowers, citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit, and stone fruits such as peach and apricot. Mineral touches and a hint of honey complete this complex aromatic bouquet.

On the palate, the wine offers a lively, fresh attack, supported by well-balanced acidity. The aromatic palette is confirmed with flavors of white fruit and citrus, accompanied by a beautiful minerality. The texture is ample and silky, with a persistent finish marked by slightly bitter notes, providing a pleasant sensation of freshness and length.
