Wine Description

The Segna de Corcuvée from the Roc des Anges wine estate is a magnificent blend of Grenache Noir, Carignan and Syrah from biodynamically farmedvines over 40 years old on schist terroir. The wine is aged for 9 months in concrete vats, then rested for 7 months in the bottle in the wine estate cellars.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Segna de Cor is actually an anagram of the Roc des Anges wine estate, a superb name coined by Marjorie and Stéphane Gallet. In addition to its original name, this wine reveals a profile typical of the Roussillon region , dominated by black fruits, with added energy and freshness thanks to the superb work carried out by this passionate couple.

On the nose, the wine is charming, with wonderful hints of spice, ripe black fruit, a very slight smokiness and a lovely menthol note.

On the palate, the wine's substance, acidity and tannins are well structured. This mastery works perfectly and has an effect right from the start. The greediness of the nose is repeated on the palate, as is the desire to keep the wine easy to digest.
