Wine Description

Domaine Méo Camuzet 's Chambolle Musigny 1er cru les Feusselottes is one of Burgundy's most elegant wines. Feusselottes means "little pits", as the terroir is indeed situated in a slight hollow. The soil is shallow, which helps to impart a beautiful minerality and finesse. Winemaking is very gentle, and ageing is carried out without too much new wood, in order to preserve as much as possible the fine, delicate expression of this terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Méo Camuzet 's Chambolle Musigny 1er cru Les Feusselottes is a magnificent Burgundy that is intense and airy. This climate, which bears witness to the presence of old backfilled quarries, gives subtle mineral notes and slightly spicy accents. The potential of this cru is remarkable, as it can easily be kept for more than 10 years.

On the nose, the wine expresses very delicate red and black fruit aromas accompanied by hints of blond tobacco, smoky notes and light spiciness.

The palate is extremely silky and fine for a Chambolle Musigny 1er cru, with magnificent density and structure. A true model of balance between finesse and depth. A wine worthy of Burgundy's finest climats.
