Wine Description

Domaine Méo Camuzet's Clos de Vougeot is located at the top of the appellation, at the foot of Château de Vougeot. The vines have been perfectly planted here for almost 100 years. The single plot reveals a shallow structure composed of several layers of rock before reaching the bedrock. This is one of the most beautiful plots owned by the wine estate, and quite simply one of the most beautiful plots in the appellation.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Grand Cru Clos de Vougeot from the Méo Camuzet wine estate is the wine that comes closest to the perfection we're looking for in a great Burgundy. There are no words to describe this wine as precisely as tasting will do.

On the nose, the wine is still a little austere, with great depth but still a certain youthful restraint. This is a wine that requires patience, and you should expect at least 10 years of ageing to get the full quintessence of this terroir.

The palate is full-bodied, with incredible aromatic power. It's a wine with a strong personality that oscillates between power and finesse. It will be sublime in a decade.
