Domaine Morey Coffinet 's Chassagne Montrachet Les Chaumesis a premier cru in the southern part of the village near the Morgeotssector . It has long been devoted to Pinot Noir, and for good reason: it is very well suited to its cultivation. Situated on marly-clay slopes , this parcel produces wines with intense body and great finesse. This is the most "full-bodied" wine in Thibault Morey's range of reds .

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The red wines from the Morey Coffinet wine estate are all exceptionally delicate. The Chassagne Montrachet Les Chaumes is one of them, even if it is a little more rustic than the Clos Saint Jean cuvée. The vines, planted in 1971, extend over a 0.72-hectare parcel. Since 2015, the wine estate has been certified organic, testifying to its commitment to environmentally-friendly practices.

On the nose, we perceive various very subtle floral notes, touches of leather and a hint of pomegranate. It's a wine with a complex , elegantaromatic palette . It's best to let the wine open up in a Burgundy glass , as this allows you to discover the different olfactory notes as you go along.

The palate is undeniably Thibault Morey. The material is very fine, silky and delicate. There's almost no tannin, yet the wine has superb staying power on the palate. There's a multitude of fruity aromas and flavors that bring out the greediness. The whole is held together by clean, precise acidity.
