Domaine Moric's Lutzmannsburg Ried Schwemmer is a real find. Part of the Sonnberg Ried, this vineyard is located on the high plateau of Lutzmannsburg, close to the observation tower. Its heavy clay soil, derived from fine limestone sediments, benefits from a flat orientation ensuring uniform sun exposure. Historically dedicated to red grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch, this terroir produces exceptional wines.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Blaufränkisch from Lutzmannsburg Ried Schwemmer is part of Roland Velich's collection of unique climates. This bottle of Moric represents a sort of missing link between the pure clay of the "Ried Maissner " and the chalky northern location of the "Ried Kirchberg".

On the nose, this wine offers aromas of morello cherry, elderberry and blackberry with a subtle garrigue spice. Compared with other Lutzmannsburg vineyards, it highlights the minerality of the soil and the freshness of its terroir.

On the palate, the texture is velvety and deep, with perfectly integrated tannins providing structure and balance. Intense fruitiness is beautifully supported by lively acidity that adds a dimension of freshness. Hints of sweet tobacco and cocoa emerge subtly as the wine opens.
