Wine Description

Thibaud Boudignon 'sAnjou blanc is rooted in the schists of Anjou noir, where Chenin develops a straightforward, luminous expression. A wine of purity as much as substance.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This Anjou blanc from Thibaud Boudignon lays the foundations of his style with a rare rigor, pushed to the extreme in this difficult vintage with particularly low yields. Less massive than a Savennières, but already very well constructed, it seduces with its precision and brilliance, in a pure, uncompromising register.

The nose opens with the purity of orchard fruit, with fresh apple, crisp pear and juicy apricot. The freshness of herbaceous notes and lime zest energize the bouquet, which reveals hints of spice with aeration.

On the palate, the precise, fluid acidity literally makes the fresh fruit and citrus flavors burst onto the palate. The saline mineral framework and fine vegetal bitters of the mid-palate bring a very pure sapidity that lingers long on the finish, and make the material vibrate with remarkable salivation.
