Domaine Pignier'sTrousseau Les Gauthières comes from the same terroir as the Trousseau cuvée, with the difference that this cuvée is made from much older vines. Another distinguishing feature: winemaking is carried out in amphora for 10 months, with no added sulfur. This method enhances the authenticity and purity of the wines.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Le Trousseau Les Gauthières is the grand cuvée of the Pignier wine estate. It's extraordinary in many ways, not least its depth and great ageing capacity. It's a wine that can easily last 10 years without batting an eyelid. It has the wild side typical of the region's grape variety, with an exceptional greediness at the same time. Winemaking in amphora ensures fine, silky tannins right from youth.

The nose is deep and intense, with notes of violets, spices and baked earth. After oxygenation, the nose develops a touch of humus and white pepper. A very complex wine, despite its youth, which still has great potential.

Fresh and delicious on the palate. The acidity is perfectly integrated, the tannins very silky. This is a truly great Jura wine that gives enormous pleasure to drink.
