Achillée
Domaine Achillée is a new Alsatian wine estate located in Scherwiller. Prior to the decision to create this wine estate, all grapes were sold to the cooperative. It was Yves Dietrich's sons Jean and Pierre who brought this wine estate to life in 2016.
All the vines on the Achillée wine estate have been farmed organically since 1999 and biodynamically since 2003.
The wines produced here strive for great purity, elegance and a touch of originality. The Hahnenberg Riesling is fine, bright and invigorating. The Sylvaner Oxydatif is a highly successful original and a fine alternative to unoaked Savagnin. Their Gewurztraminer sec de Macération is fresh, spicy and very deep. As for their Zéro Dosage crémant, it boasts very fine bubbles and a very tasty body.
For the record, Domaine Achillée boasts the largest straw-bale building in Europe. It was built to keep the carbon footprint as low as possible.
