The Monier Perréol wine estate comprises 12 hectares of vineyards located exclusively within the Saint Joseph appellation. Jean Pierre Monier and Philippe Perréol decided to join forces to produce “clean” wines that fully respect the terroir. The vineyards have been cultivated using biodynamic methods and worked with horses since 1995.

Located in the town of Saint Désirat, the Monier Perréol wine estate creates true gems that are still relatively unknown to the general public and even to some Rhône Valley wine enthusiasts.

This wine estate produces red Saint-Joseph wines as well as a few whites. The red wines are intense and rich, with notes of ripe fruit, and always retain a lovely freshness.

Winemaking is carried out gently without any additives; the wines undergo ageing in barrels and remain very pure, without any overt oak influence.

They are in the spirit of Domaine Gonon’s wines: powerful yet full of finesse. The prices of these wines are truly very affordable for the appellation—and especially given their intrinsic quality.
