Ca' del Baio

For four generations, the Ca' del Baio wine estate has carried on the Langhe tradition of winemaking . The Grasso family has preserved its heritage and even enriched it over the years. Today, Giulio and Luciana, along with their daughters Paola, Valentina and Federica, passionately manage the wine estate. Each has a well-defined role within the company, whether in the vineyards, winemaking or marketing.

The Ca' del Baio wine estate is blessed with some of the finest terroirs between Barbaresco and Treiso. They have chosen to plant a wide variety of grape varieties adapted to their terroirs. You'll find Riesling, Chardonnay and typical varieties like Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto, but almost all the wines are made from a single grape variety.

Ca' del Baio has made a name for itself around the world thanks to the rigor of its work and the fact that it has very old vineyards dating back to the 1950s-1960s. These old vines are planted on some of Barbaresco's finest terroirs, namely Asili and Vallegrande, as well as on other beautiful Langhe terroirs.

We've chosen to show you the most beautiful facets of these Langhe terroirs. To do so, we've chosen the part of the Ca' del Baio range we consider most interesting: Dolcetto d'Alba Lodoli, Langhe Nebbiolo Bric del Baio, Barbaresco Autinbej, Barbaresco Vallegrande and Barbaresco Asili.
