Thomas Morey
The Thomas Morey wine estate was founded in 2006. From the outset of his project, Thomas Morey has been known for producing cuvées that are unmarred by wood and offer more elegance and finesse than the so-called "classic" Burgundies.
The wine estate is located in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, in the commune of Chassagne Montrachet. Thomas Morey is fortunate to have around 10 hectares of vines on magnificent terroirs of more or less prestigious appellations.
He has adopted simple, reasoned working methods based on environmentally-friendly values to produce wines that are as complex and authentic as possible.
In the cellar, the winemaker's work is radically opposed to what has been done for generations in Burgundy. Winemaking is gentle and ageing extremely precise. Ageing is always carried out in non-new barrels on fine lees for around 1 year, so that the wine gains in precision.
In white, his Saint Aubin, Chassagne Montrachet and Batârd Montrachet are just sublime.
