Jean-Claude Bessin produced his first vintage in 1992. Since then, he has continually refined his craft, earning a reputation as one of Chablis’s leading winemakers. With the arrival of his son Romain, the wine estate has reached new heights of excellence. Romain, passionate and innovative, has introduced biodynamic principles into vineyard management, resulting in wines that are more refined, authentic, and environmentally friendly.

The Chablis terroir, known for its soils rich in marly limestone and fossilized oyster shells, gives the wines a distinctive and sought-after minerality. The Bessin wine estate’s vineyards, ideally situated to benefit from optimal sunlight, take full advantage of these exceptional conditions to express their full complexity and unique character.
