Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes from the Alain Voge wine estate is the oldest cuvée created in 1970 to promote the family vineyard of very old vines. The vines that make up the blend for this cuvée are located in the heart of the Cornas appellation, on famous "lieux dits" such as Chaillot, Mazard and Combe. The average age of the vines is now 60 years, following the replanting of several plots.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Cornas Les Vieilles Vignes is the flagship cuvée of the Alain Voge wine estate. A cuvée that perfectly combines tradition and modernity. Its aromatic complexity is remarkable, and its ageing rarely equaled. An accomplished cuvée that will delight the palates of lovers of both classic and more modern wines.

The nose is of great nobility, with notes of Morello cherry, violet candy, blackcurrant and a touch of leather in perfect harmony with all the other aromas.

The palate is full-bodied, powerful and straightforward. The muscular, tannic body gradually gives way to a silky texture with a racy, sanguine character. The tannins are rather strict in their youth, but of great nobility, which augurs well for the future of this Cornas.
